SphereHub: SphereHub is a housing/roommate matching platform for students.
Carson Becker: sole designer
The Goal: unify three distinct audiences with one cohesive website and brand.
Challenge
The previous site fell flat and didn’t prioritize user needs. The biggest challenge was designing for three unique audiences on one platform. Students needed a friendly experience; landlords needed results; universities prioritized security.

Colors
This is an unusually complex and vibrant palette. While it is varied, I also ensured it would be harmonious. The diverse and vibrant hues represent the diverse nature of the international students whom the platform primarily serves.
Photography
For a platform appealing to such a diverse audience, it was important to represent multiple identities. I used imaginative shapes, while keeping it grounded in reality through photography.

Multiple wireframes were drafted for each page.

Homepage
The homepage was designed to appeal most to students. Coming across welcoming, inclusive and trustworthy.
Universities
Perhaps the most critical audience, the University page was designed to attract institutional investment by emphasizing ROI, security and trust.
Landlords
Similar to Universities, Landlords need to see clearly demonstrated ROI, security and a unique value proposition, as well as simplicity.
Carson helped my startup, SphereHub, with our branding. He also went above and beyond to help us with our product positioning, taking a deep dive into the existing market, and making a significant improvement on our site.
